G’day! I’m Alison, a homesteading chef, wife and mother soaking up life in the heat of the Top End, Northern Territory.

This website is our digital patch of earth, where we spill the beans on our journey—growing, gardening, cooking, and preserving food that embodies the essence of tropical Northern Australia.

I am in love with cooking food and especially cooking food from the garden. I wanted a place that I could share my recipes and ideas with everyone.

The man behind the scenes is none other than my husband, the maestro orchestrating a multitude of our off-grid initiatives and tending to our flourishing garden. His passion lies in discovering innovative ways to enhance our green haven, continually steering us toward greater self-sufficiency.
